This iaido obi is made from a special polyester fabric woven in the "tsumugi" style.
Traditional tsumugi fabric is made by using silk floss hand spun into yarn. It is nowadays an important traditional Japanese handicraft that is internationally recognized for it's quality and beauty.
The "tsumugi" polyester has a beautiful rustic and matte aspect, similar to traditional Japanese garments, with the added durability and easy care of synthetic fiber.
Both ends are thinner for an easier tying, while the rest has a semi-rigid panel on core that provides additional support. 375cm by 7cm.
